This week I went to a completely different side of my head. The show opens with Emotive by A Perfect Circle, and from there we dive headfirst into the strange, brilliant world of Bucketheadland.
For those who don’t know, Buckethead is a flat-out genius — and of course, anything Maynard James Keenan touches is amazing, so really you can’t go wrong here. There was a time when A Perfect Circle was nearly impossible to see live, and then I got lucky enough to catch them twice in one year. Those songs — and this set — are a ride for everyone. For me, it straightened my head out a little more than it was before.
Side note: if you haven’t seen the latest Prince of Darkness Chronicles post, you should go check that out.
