Episode 304- 07-23-2024 -happy birthday Carlos-hey Max, can we borrow the farm again?

Good Sunday evening everybody I’m just wrapping up this weeks episode. On the 20th Carlos Santana turned 77 years old. We will be exploring his album. Abraxas for about the first half hour or so. This was my first introduction to Carlos. It’s a great record.

so over the last several weeks, we’ve been crazy inundated with more division and messed up situations. This got me thinking about other times in this country when we’ve been divided.

now before people jump down my throat, I realize it was a different time and a different situation and there might be some people that are upset that I am, I guess for a whack of a better word disparaging the beauty that happened in upstate New York in 69.

I don’t mean that at all.

Maybe somebody should go ask Max Yasgur if we can borrow a field to try to bring people together with music.

I realize this may be difficult being that he is dead,

Why don’t you join me and listening to the artists that were so passionate about what was going on in 69, while we are doing that, ask yourself where are the artists today? Why don’t we see more of them banning together to try and help the division in this country?

Being that I listen to a lot of music I hear music coming out that talks about division, but it’s usually more divisive or comes across that way.
