The Merch Is Here. WORT Gets Every Dime.

Back in March, my inbox got hammered. Twenty-five emails in one month, all asking the same question like a hostage negotiator who wouldn’t take no for an answer: “Lucas, where can I get a Rolling with Scissors T-shirt?”

I told you I’d heard you. I told you the machine was back in gear. I promised a follow-up post the second it was real.

It’s real.

The Uniform Has Shipped

The store is open at shop.rwsradio.com, stocked with everything you need to survive the aftermath:

  • Logo Tee: $20
  • Logo Hoodie: $45
  • Logo Sticker: $6
  • Black Coffee Mug: $18 (11 oz) or $20 (15 oz)
  • Insulated Water Bottle: $32
  • Travel Tumbler: $33

Every piece carries the logo: the guy in the hat, riding a giant pair of scissors at full speed into the dark. White on black. The official colors of 2 a.m.

Follow the Money (It Doesn’t Lead to Me)

Here’s the part that matters. I don’t make a cent off this. Not one.

Every dollar of profit goes straight to WORT 89.9 FM, the listener-sponsored community radio station in Madison that keeps this show on the air. No cut for me. No “convenience fee.” No mysterious line item that quietly funds a boat. The only money that doesn’t go to WORT is what it costs to physically make the thing you’re buying.

And before I flipped the switch, I cleared it with the station. Because the last thing I wanted was to show up at a volunteer meeting as the guy who freelanced a fundraiser. They said yes.

So when you wear the gear, you’re not just repping a radio show. You’re paying the electric bill on a transmitter. That’s the whole business model.

No Garage Full of Boxes

Everything is printed on demand and shipped straight to your door. I’m not hunched over a folding table at 5 a.m. after a three-hour show, wrestling packing tape like it owes me money. You order it. It gets made. It shows up in a week or two.

The Hat Situation

I promised hats. The hat mockup came back looking like the embroidery machine had a seizure halfway through the logo. That’s not going on anybody’s head with my name on it. Hats are back on the workbench. When they’re right, they’ll show up.

Last Call

If you somehow missed the big red Merch button at the top of the site and the giant black banner on the front page, consider this your third and final warning.

Wear the show. Feed the station. Keep the scissors rolling.
