It’s been a while since I’ve done a proper blog post, so it feels like the right time to check in.
Back in August, I took a vacation. And yes, I know I didn’t get to see as many people as I wanted to — but honestly, I needed to take care of myself. That time away gave me some clarity, and now it’s time to share what’s next: the Prince of Darkness will be back in Wisconsin.
Right now I’m aiming for sometime toward the end of September. I don’t know exactly where I’ll land yet, but I’m working on nailing that down. As soon as I know for sure, I’ll let everyone know.
The truth is, Florida just isn’t where I need to be. I’ve said it before in other posts, but this trip really confirmed it for me. Either way, I’m coming back to Wisconsin.
I also need to apologize for going a bit radio silent since I returned. No bad intentions there — I’ve just been in a funk. A lot of it comes down to not having the people I care about around me. That’s been hard, and I realize how much happier I was being closer to all of you.
As for Signal Drift — I want to be clear: I fully intend to continue it. Right now, though, I’m not in the headspace to keep writing. I feel bad about that because I know some of you have been following along. But this is just one of those in-between times in life where things feel uncomfortable before they get better. And I believe that being back around my people is what I need to move forward.
The big jump to Florida was scary as hell because I didn’t have everything nailed down. The jump back isn’t easy either. But it’s happening.
Stay tuned.
