happy Sunday hope everybody is doing well. In case you didn’t see it there is a new installment of the prince of darkness Chronicles in the life in the studio blog. It’s a pretty good one.
so on this weeks episode, we are exploring a new band well too new musical adventures to be exact. For about the first hour we’re going to be exploring.John Hozier-Byrne known professionally as Hozier my girlfriend actually turned me onto these guys. She streams that satellite radio thing while she’s working and the first track we play by him came across her headphones.
It’s pretty damn groovy, so I kind of went. What the hell is that and then went looking for more of his music. It’s really trippy because not only is it rock ‘n’ roll but he mixes in a lot of electronic.
in this episode, I compare him to Moby at least back in the play album days. As I’m sitting here thinking about it now though maybe a little more like Beck. Oh hell I don’t know it’s just damn good music. The second half of the program we will be featuring. Avi C. Engel who has a new album out now called Too Many Souls and is really damn good.
