Killing the Clutter: The Great Header Purge

Let’s be honest: for a while now, the header on the Rolling with Scissors website has pissed me the hell off. It was a bloated, oversized monolith of a thing. It was basically the digital equivalent of a billboard blocking your view of the road—you had to pack a lunch and hike three miles just to scroll past it and actually find the content you came for.

That’s over.

With some intervention from an amazing graphic designer (and an even more wonderful human being), we’ve finally taken that logo out behind the barn and fixed its attitude. We’ve shifted the orientation to a sleek in-line layout. It’s lean, it’s mean, and it doesn’t take up half your screen like it’s paying rent.

The Leaner, Meaner Signal

I also took the digital hatchet to the social media icons in the header. They’re gone. Moving them out gives the whole site a cleaner, more focused look. If you need to find us on the socials, they’re tucked away where they belong, leaving the top of the page free for what actually matters: the transmission.

The best part? You don’t have to scroll for ten minutes just to find an episode. We’re putting the content back at the forefront where it belongs.

Work in Progress

I’m still doing some under-the-hood tweaking, so expect to see things shifting and evolving over the next couple of weeks. It’s like rebuilding a radio mast while the station is still broadcasting—a little chaotic, a little greasy, but the signal is going to be stronger for it.

Stick around. The view is already getting better.
