It’s been quiet on Nottingham Ridge since June 2025.
When I started Signal Drift, I knew I was trying to capture a very specific frequency: the gritty, analog struggle for connection when the world dissolves into static. But frequencies drift. Life got in the way. The vacuum of the silence got louder than the noise.
You can’t force the signal. Sometimes you have to step away from the microphone, let the tubes cool, and wait for the void to speak first.
I have spent the last few months doing exactly that—waiting. Re-calibrating. Finding my way back into that high-ground ridge and listening to what Cronauer, Joy, and Bill had to tell me. It turns out, they weren’t done talking. They just needed me to remember how to listen.
Thank you all for the patience. The emails, the DMs, the subtle pings asking when the next transmission was coming. I appreciate you holding the space.
The Transmissions Resume
The hiatus is officially over. We are re-engaging the main carrier, and the next sequence of events is locked in.
- Signal Drift: 16 will go live this Friday at exactly Midnight Central.
If you’ve forgotten where we left off, now is the time for a recap. We aren’t downtown anymore. The “Vault” on Nottingham Ridge is open, and the stakes have just gone regional.
A New Schedule (For a New World)
When I was posting back in June, I was trying to stick to a rigid, one-chapter-per-week schedule. That pace doesn’t work anymore.
Moving forward, Signal Drift will be posted on a “As It Is Written” basis. I’m prioritizing the narrative quality and authentic texture of this world over a deadline. But one rule remains absolute:
New chapters will ALWAYS go live on a FRIDAY.
When a chapter is ready, you’ll know. It will land at midnight on a Friday, just as the weekend begins.
The static is clearing, rwsradio family. Tune in.

Each blog post is shared across our social transmitters, but those are just bigger antennas. The original source — and the signal we control — is right here on the blog. If you’re looking for other ways to stay updated on Rolling with Scissors, you’ll find our official transmitters linked below.
Spin the dial — we’re probably on it. Lock onto your frequency. Pick your favorite antenna below and ride the signal back to us.
