Tonight’s show pulls no punches—literally. The entire playlist is built around some of the heaviest, loudest, most iconic albums to come out of 1992. It was a year that gave us some absolute monsters, and this setlist is nothing short of a sonic gut punch in the best way possible.

We kicked things off with a brutal reminder of just how raw metal can be—diving into selections from Pantera’s Vulgar Display of Power. It’s an album that doesn’t ask for permission—it kicks the door down and dares you to flinch.

From there, we slowed things down only slightly to dive deep into the full Opiate EP by Tool—the record that introduced the world to a band that would redefine what heavy even means. No skips, no filler—just pure unfiltered Tool in its early, primal form.

Next up: a hard-driving, groove-heavy ride through White Zombie’s La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume One. These tracks still hit like a flaming V8 engine, and it’s wild to think how Rob Zombie’s sound was already fully-formed back then—grimy, creepy, and damn near perfect.

And to wrap the night, we took a trip into the beautifully chaotic world of Faith No More’s Angel Dust—an album that bends genres, breaks expectations, and still somehow sounds fresh 30+ years later.

A quick note before we go—a good friend of the show by the name of Thump suggested we do an all-Mike Patton episode. It’s a damn good idea, and rest assured, it is coming. But I figured maybe don’t overload you with Angel Dust tonight and then drop three straight hours of Patton weirdness next week. That said… when it comes, it’s gonna be glorious. There’s a hell of a lot of material to work with.
