Last week, a friend of the program pointed out that since I did all long sets the previous week—because, let’s be honest, it was the week after the pledge drive, and I didn’t feel like talking—I should flip the script and blast a full punk episode. I liked the idea. Started working on it. But when you’re putting together a punk show, you can’t just throw songs on a playlist and call it a day. It has to flow.

And it wasn’t flowing.

So, that episode is on hold. It’ll happen. Just not today.

Then, this morning, I was talking to another buddy about work stuff, and somehow, we ended up on For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. He said it was a great but underrated Van Halen record—which it is. So I thought, alright, let’s feature that this week.
