Prince of Darkness for President

Let’s just start by asking the single most urgent question facing this country right now: What the fuck is actually going on?

I am asking that question to both sides of the aisle, because what I am seeing from our national leadership right now is a complete and total failure of basic human sanity. On one side, you have the Republicans blindly following a fascist playbook, acting like a cult for a wannabe dictator who has zero respect for the Constitution or human rights. If you re-elected that stupid motherfucker, you are actively voting to torch your own house down.

But on the other side—the side that is supposed to be the line of defense—I am consumed by absolute rage and embarrassment by the Democratic Party. While the opposition is aggressively trying to dismantle our civil rights, the Democrats are just sitting there with their thumbs up their corporate asses. I haven’t seen a single person in that party stand up, put their boots on, and say what the fuck out loud. They are too timid, too comfortable, and too focus-grouped to fight back against creeping fascism with any real teeth.

Because of this institutionalized cowardice, I am declaring my platform as an act of complete and total independence. I am not a Democrat, and I sure as hell am not a Republican. But let’s look at the absolute truth of the game they’ve rigged: the corporate two-party duopoly has engineered the rules so a true independent can’t even get on the ballot. They have locked the gates to keep regular citizens out, forcing you to choose between their two pre-selected flavors of corporate capture.

Under my watch, we are blowing open the gates. We are implementing federal ballot-access reform that permanently strips away the two-party chokehold. If you are a citizen who meets the constitutional requirements, you get on the ballot—period. No more multi-million-dollar filing rackets, no more partisan signature traps designed to tie up outsiders in court, and no more locking independents out of national debates. We are breaking the duopoly to return the ballot to the people.

I know exactly what the political class will do when a 30-year freeform radio veteran and wheelchair user talks about running for President of the United States. They’ll smile condescendingly, dismiss it as a creative stunt, and laugh.

Let them laugh.

Because while they are comfortably playing procedural games in air-conditioned chambers, the rest of us are out here living in the reality of a collapsing system. If you don’t fit into the neat, sanitized box of “White America”—whether you are Black, brown, gay, transgender, disabled, or just someone who doesn’t fit the elite, corporate mold—the current political machine treats you like a line-item liability to be managed, isolated, or warehoused.

I am completely serious when I say this: If I thought I had even a single, revolving shot of being elected to the Oval Office before the establishment tried to assassinate me, I would throw my hat in the ring tomorrow. But since the gatekeepers won’t let a regular citizen with a live microphone near the ballot, I am throwing down this manifesto as a direct challenge to the entire, rotted political establishment.

This is what a real platform looks like when you stop being afraid of your shadow and start fighting for human beings. It is built on a very simple, baseline Midwest doctrine: Stop being an asshole, live your life, and let everyone else live theirs.

1. The Revenue Strategy: Funding the Floor

The very first thing the focus-grouped politicians and the comment-section economists are going to scream is, “Well, that’s real easy to say, Lucas, but how the hell do you pay for it?”

We pay for it by correcting the balance sheet and stopping the massive corporate extraction of American wealth.

  • Taxing the Top 1%: Right now, corporate monopolies and ultra-wealthy elites don’t pay their fair share of taxes. Under my watch, if you make over $250,000 a year, your taxes are going up. Your job is to help cover the baseline human infrastructure of the country that allowed you to get rich in the first place. We don’t have a scarcity of money in America; we have a scarcity of backbone.
  • The Clean Cannabis Stream: Just fucking legalize cannabis nationally already. Take the corporate-bureaucracy shit out of it, open up the market, and stop locking people up for a plant. We are going to tax it proportionally and fairly, aligning it cleanly with how we already tax alcohol and cigarettes so we don’t choke out the market. That steady, massive stream of cash is locked strictly into human infrastructure and free education.
  • Free Higher Education & Trade Guilds: By combining individual tax adjustments for top earners, the clean cannabis revenue stream, and massive corporate clawbacks from military waste, we are fully funding free public college, trade schools, and university tuition. If you claim the math doesn’t work, you aren’t paying attention to where the money is actually hidden.

2. Universal Healthcare: Go to the Fucking Doctor

We need to talk about medical insurance in this country because the current system is a broken scam. Right now, there are millions of hardworking people who simply cannot afford the absolute truth of getting sick. If you don’t have the cash, you stay home, you get worse, or you go bankrupt.

Yes, we have the healthcare marketplace and Obamacare. I love Obama to death for taking that step—it was an awesome, historic advancement—but he didn’t take it far enough. He left the corporate insurance vultures in charge of the gate.

Under my administration, the corporate middleman gets cut out completely. Every single human being in this country will be able to go to the fucking doctor when they are sick, period. No premiums, no life-shattering deductibles, and no networks. If you are breathing, you are covered. Health is a basic human right, not a subscription service you have to audition for.

3. Rebuilding the Safety Net & Destroying the Asset Trap

We are putting our social programs back together brick by brick. No more predatory DOJ memos letting states bypass community integration for “administrative convenience.” No more corporate healthcare vendors holding survival equipment hostage while paperwork rots in a lost file.

More importantly, we are completely abolishing the draconian asset limits for SSI and Medicaid. Right now, the government legally forces disabled people to stay broke by capping their savings at $2,000. If you try to save money, build a small business, or gain financial autonomy, they pull the rug out from under you. That ends on day one. If you want to work, earn, and save, the government should be backing you, not threatening you with institutionalized poverty.

4. Foreign Policy: Firing the World’s Police

We need to stop playing the world’s police, because in my opinion, we are not the biggest, baddest man on the block anymore, and we need to stop acting like it. It is time to step back from global interventionism and focus on fixing the massive crisis inside our own borders.

That means rewriting our relationships with international partners. We are friends with Israel, but what their leadership is doing right now is genocide, plain and simple. Under my watch, American foreign policy will no longer offer a blank check or unconditional diplomatic cover to any foreign nation violating basic human rights. We are pulling back, focusing on our own infrastructure, and letting the rest of the world govern itself while we fix our own house.

5. Freezing the Defense Scam: Pay Soldiers, Not Contractors

Right now, the leadership in Washington is asking Congress for a record-breaking $1.5 trillion defense budget. They claim we’re broke, yet they want to increase military procurement by cutting domestic lifelines.

Let’s be clear about how my administration handles that budget: Our soldiers get paid, our veterans are fully taken care of, and their operational safety gear is 100% funded. But the corporate defense contractors? The party is over. Private military monopolies get paid billions whether they deliver or fail. Under my watch, not a single goddamn cent goes out the door to a defense contractor until they produce working hardware. No more handouts for delayed, failing, or unproduced tech. If they miss a deadline or deliver a system that blows up on the launchpad, their funding is frozen and their executives are audited.

6. Blowing Up Congress: One Term and Done

Congress is a complete, unmitigated fucking mess. It has become a permanent country club for career politicians who are completely detached from everyday survival. We need a hard, systemic reset.

Under my watch, we are implementing a strict new constitutional rule: You get exactly two years in Congress, and then you are out. No re-elections, no political dynasties, and no running again. You do your two years of civic duty, and you go the fuck home.

To replace the career grifters, we are going directly into the communities to find real leaders. We don’t need millionaire lawyers; we need the people who actually live in the neighborhoods they serve. The establishment will whine that we are losing “institutional knowledge,” but we don’t need institutional knowledge of how to line corporate pockets. We need the people who don’t have any money, but know exactly how to get things done when they are broke. Those are the minds we need writing laws—people with mud on their boots and reality in their veins.

7. Transportation & The $15,000 Car Mandate

The automotive market is an absolute racket. The manufacturers want us to believe that the “average” cost of a vehicle has magically jumped to $50,000. They intentionally killed off affordable commuter options because they want to force working-class families into predatory, long-term auto loans that make credit manufacturers a shit pile of money.

We are breaking that price-gouging chokehold. We are mandating that car manufacturers produce simple, reliable, honest vehicles priced at $15,000. They aren’t going to lose money. If the cars are affordable, they will sell them cheaper, but they will ultimately bring in more revenue because they are selling a massive volume of vehicles to regular people who desperately need reliable transportation.

8. Capping Predatory Interest: No More Usury

Speaking of making a “shit pile of money,” we are going after the banking and predatory credit card industries next. The corporate system relies on trapping working-class people in unescapable debt loops, charging astronomical interest rates that push past 28%.

Under my watch, we are implementing a hard, federal cap on all consumer interest rates and credit card APRs. No more usury. If multi-billion-dollar banks can borrow money from the federal government at dirt-cheap rates, they do not get to turn around and extract life-shattering interest fees from everyday Americans who are just trying to keep their heads above water.

9. Energy Independence & Overhauling the Grid

We are drawing an ironclad line: We stop buying foreign oil entirely. The United States is already the largest crude oil producer on the planet—we have more than enough under our own boots to be fully self-sufficient if we retool our domestic refineries to process it. By cutting off foreign imports and shifting our economy toward a long-term resource reduction, we lock in complete energy sovereignty.

We don’t pretend the oil and gas industry disappears overnight, because our modern infrastructure—from medical gear to the very plastics inside our vehicles—is made out of petroleum. We pivot the industry away from combustion (burning it for fuel) and transition it strictly into manufacturing and essential polymers.

We need electric vehicles, but we must look at them with absolute truth. Mining lithium and cobalt is a destructive process that damages the planet. Furthermore, corporate ag tries to distract everyone by blaming cows for atmospheric collapse to protect heavy industry. I don’t buy that bullshit.

More importantly, you cannot put millions of EVs on the road if your electrical grid is held together by duct tape. We are launching a massive, New Deal-style federal mobilization to completely rebuild our energy grid. We are fully funding the transition to decentralized, high-capacity nuclear energy, advanced solar, and wind, upgrading transmission lines so the country actually possesses the raw electrical horsepower required to power a modern infrastructure.

10. Breaking Up Corporate Media Monopolies

As a 30-year veteran of independent, freeform community radio, I watched the immediate, devastating fallout of corporate media deregulation. Massive, multi-billion-dollar syndicates were handed a blank check to buy up thousands of local radio and TV stations across the country, corporate-cleansing our airwaves and replacing local flavor with centralized, focus-grouped garbage.

Under my administration, we are aggressively breaking up corporate media monopolies. We are re-enforcing strict local ownership caps to ensure that newsrooms, broadcast frequencies, and independent media networks are stripped away from corporate boards and returned to the actual, decentralized voices of the communities they serve.

11. Digital Liberty & True Right to Repair

As someone who has navigated technology from the 1990s analog radio days to this modern era of AI, I see exactly how tech monopolies operate. They build closed ecosystems, treat digital accessibility like a secondary corporate favor, and lock down their hardware.

Under my administration, we are locking in ironclad federal Net Neutrality and passing a hardcore Right to Repair law. If you buy a piece of technology—whether it is an agricultural tractor, a laptop, or a complex rehab power wheelchair—you own it. You have the absolute legal right to get the parts, get the software, and fix it yourself without waiting on a corporate permission slip.

12. Open Government & Universal Transparency

The federal government has weaponized the concept of “national security” and “administrative privilege” to hide its corruption, cover up corporate defense contractor waste, and keep everyday citizens in the dark about how their hard-earned tax dollars are being spent.

Under my watch, we are executing a sweeping mandate for government declassification and absolute contract transparency. If the American taxpayer is paying the bill, the American taxpayer has the absolute right to see the receipts. Every single corporate government contract, every defense spending report, and every bureaucratic memo will be open to public audit in real-time.

13. National Service, Heartland Autonomy, & Civil Rights

  • The National Service Guild: If you graduate high school and don’t have a plan, you give the country two years in either the military or an expanded civilian infrastructure corps. In return, your room and board are 100% covered, and you receive a funded higher trade or technical education so you enter the workforce debt-free with real skills.
  • Decentralizing Agriculture: We are using federal leverage to break up corporate agricultural monopolies, protecting independent local farmers, and restoring decentralized community food security.
  • The Immigrant Reality: Unless your ancestors were Native American, every single one of us came from somewhere else. We are a nation of immigrants. It’s time to stop using fascist, “master race” rhetoric to demonize people, and lead with empathy and historical reality.
  • Common-Sense Second Amendment: I support the Second Amendment, but I have zero patience for lawlessness. Keep your firearms, but with clear caveats: Give me a universal background check, and make people do the actual safety training.

Look closely at the system they’ve built. It is designed to keep you quiet, keep you broke, and keep you isolated. The two-party duopoly wants to keep you choosing between a party of cowardice and a party of active destruction. I refuse the cage, I refuse their rigged system, and I sure as hell think it’s time we start pushing back.
